I have not idea what to call this post....

Well, we made it back from Lake Fork. A good time was had by all. The guys didn't catch anything except boat fever. My girls and I arrived at Lake Fork on Friday around 5:30. By the time that we got there, I had a sore throat and was not feeling well at all. Saturday I was feeling a little better so Tammey and I took the 4 girls to the water park in Canton for the day while the guys were fishing. We all had a really good time. After we left the water park we went to the tournament site for a little bit and then back to the rv park. Doodle cooked us a steak on the pit and I made some potatoes and then we pretty much went to bed. Sunday we got up and left around 1:00. On the way home we stopped in Athens and ate lunch and headed home. Lil' Bubba had a blow out on the boat trailer so we had to stop for them to change the tire. We finally made it home around 8:00. It usually does not take that long, but with several stops, it tends to take a little longer. So, that was pretty much our weekend. I took both of my cameras, but did not take one single picture....can't believe it!!!!

Remember when I made a list of goals for myself?? Well, the listed included painting the porch and getting my flower beds started. Guess what.....I have started both!! All I lack on the porch is the second coat of paint and then decorating it. I have found the patio furniture that I want, but I don't want to get it until I am absolutely ready to set it all up. Doodle went and bought a tiller and tilled up my flower beds for me and then I went and bought shrubs, sega palms and some little red flowers. Doodle made me a thing out of lattice work and I am going to go buy a vine that blooms and will grow up the lattice work. I also need to go buy the red crepe myrtle that I want along with some more mulch. So, at least I am getting some stuff accomplished.

Well, I think I am going to go clean the kitchen, take a hot bath and some sinus medicine to get rifd of this stuffy nose and headache that I have had for 2 days..... Nite!

Long time, no post

I know, it's been a while since I last posted. Sorry. Sometimes I just can't think of anything worthy to say. However, I just got through reading one of my favorite blogs (audreycaroline.blogspot.com) and she listed a few of the blogs that she reads. One of them was NieNie's Dialogues. The blog is written by a woman who was involved in a plane crash with her husband and another man. She and her husband both survived, but not without scars and a long road of recovery. Unfortunately, the pilot did not make it. I went back and read from the date of the crash up to todays post. Nie shows such courage in her daily life of therapy, pills and pain. She has 4 kids who still need their mother, which is a role that she takes very seriously, as any mother should. I cannot imagine not being able to pick my kids up and hug them, or tuck them into bed at night. This is something that slowly she is being able to do. Thank God!! If you get a chance, go over and check out her blog. It will really make you take a look at your life and realize that there is always someone else whose problems are worse than your own.

On a lighter note, this week has been very busy. I have had to take my truck in twice this week. Once to have the ujoints and carrier bearings replaced and then back to the transmission guy to make sure that everything is as it should be. All is well with "the tank". Kristyn has had summer school and practice everynight and Ryleigh has been going to VBS at church. Doodle left today to go to Lake Fork to fish in the Skeeter tournament. So, I have been washing clothes all week trying to get everything clean before we leave. The girls and I are going to leave tomorrow after Kristyn gets out of summer school. Today we went to get our nails and toes done and then we went to eat at "the pink house", a mexican food restaraunt in town. Now we are just chillin out at home and I am fixin to make some firecrackers since Doodle ate the last of them the other night....well, gotta go, Doodle just called, he has arrived at Lake Fork and I am sure there are more clothes awaiting my arrival in the laundry room....

I'm a Rock Star!!!

YEA!!! I finally got my truck back yesterday...the converter had to be replaced. Today I took it to the tire shop and finally broke down and bought me the new Rock Star rims. I have been driving around for over a year with the two front simulators (hubcaps for a dually) missing. I looked like hillbilly jane driving around. I just have such a hard time letting go of such a large amount of money at one time. But, I DID IT!!! Doodle told me that tomorrow he is going to take me to find a new front grill. Not that anything is wrong with mine, but I want one like he has on his truck...I will take some pics and post them tomorrow. Gotta go, have to take Kristyn to softball practice....
